Many of the children we work with are the first in their family to stay in school past a certain age. A single conversation with someone who believes in them can change the course of their education — that's what mentoring means at Vidhyadaanam.
Through Vinetra, our teacher development pillar, and our mentoring platform VidhyaSetu, we connect volunteers with students and government-school teachers in remote villages across Karnataka for guidance, encouragement, and motivation.
As a mentor or motivational speaker, you can:
- Mentor a student one-on-one on academics, career options, or life skills
- Guide students on setting goals and staying motivated through school
- Conduct a motivational talk or career-guidance session at a partner school
- Mentor teachers on classroom practices and personal growth through Vinetra
- Share your own career journey to widen students' sense of what is possible
- Help students prepare for exams, interviews, or scholarship applications
- Run a workshop on confidence-building, communication, or study skills
- Volunteer as a long-term mentor through VidhyaSetu, our mentoring platform
